Garden Family
What they came with
The task
Sell handmade goods online instead of trading DMs. Over 70 models in the catalogue: forged plant supports and woven rattan planters.
Constraints and rejected options
What we solved
The interesting part was that these are two different family workshops — metal and rattan — sharing one customer. The catalogue could easily have split into two separate storefronts. Add seasonality: spring traffic is many times winter traffic, so we rejected a heavy off-the-shelf platform that would need a dedicated server year-round for two busy months.
What I did
The solution
A single catalogue with categories that holds both workshops together rather than side by side. Cart, checkout with Nova Poshta branch selection, online payment. A family story block — because people here buy handmade work, not a metal support. An admin panel where prices and stock change without me: critical in spring.
What came out of it
The result
Built in 14 days. Orders arrive in Telegram instantly and customers can see their own status — the DM back-and-forth about "did my order go through" is gone.
